ESA Mars Installation

3D/Digital/Hardware - Cinema4D/Photoshop

Multiscreen interactive installation for ESA’s Space Research and Technology Centre in the Netherlands. The installation consists of three 75 inch, 4K screens that have been made up to look like a panoramic viewport out onto the surface of Mars. A large touchscreen provided interactivity to control the screens.

Initially, I was tasked with creating the concept and renders for the stand itself before moving on to content creation. I created panoramic renders of a realistic Mars landscape along with future concepts of how a expedition to Mars may look. Finally I consulted on hardware, ensuring suitably powerful computer components were chosen to run the multiple screens before constructing and testing the computer hardware myself.
