MSC Interactive Touchtable

A huge project for cruise ship company MSC Cruises, creating a large, multiscreen touch table that is currently deployed on the MSC Virtuosa cruise ship. The brief was to create a futuristic touch table that would fit in with their Starship Club, a futuristic looking bar featuring a robotic bartender. As part of this project, I was tasked with creating the tour of a future star cruiser that would bring passengers on a galactic cruise. Utilising Cinema 4D, I modelled various rooms aboard the starship along with the ship itself, including animations and textures. A full set of planets were rendered alongside these to provide the destinations that passengers could visit.

The final state of the project was a fully interactive unity program that cruise ship passengers could interact with on the bespoke, triple screen table whilst waiting for their drinks. The project is featured here at Pro Display: https://prodisplay.com/news/touching-infinity-msc-starship-club/

The project ultimately won multiple Awards of Excellence at the Communicator Awards in 2021 including Best Visual Design, Art Direction, Aesthetic and Visual Appeal.
